Vector

Vector is the ability to turn the potency of our movement in a specific, intentional direction: to move here not there, now not later, right not left. Working with a vector means we choose to establish a certain direction or quality (or follow a direction that is already happening). We can bring our forces to bear with clarity and intention in a single direction, whether our movement is intense, chaotic, soft or subtle. The same applies to focusing and following a particular energy, emotion or thought.
We keep on taking directions and decisions. And most of the time, we do not know what is going to be the outcome.
Vector is a core movement resource, a basic need, because without direction we are lost.
When we embody vector on the dance floor, we can discover usual patterns that we might want to get aware of and that we might want to change.
Dancing vector raises questions that can hep us to deal with our behaviour in every day life:
Do I allow myself to set a direction based on something that is important to ME ?
Do I give permission to myself to make choices on my own behalf, based on my own values ?
Do I dare to give myself permission to set this vector even if I don’t know the outcome ?
Do I have enough commitment from my inside body to stay close to the vector I have chosen ?
Am I ready to risk something by doing the first step in the direction that I have chosen ?
Am I ready to befriend the obstacles that I will meet without losing my vector ?
Our body in movement helps us to find answers, to discover our own individual truth, it can support us to choose and to follow our vector!
Come and join us in a common dance on a common floor!
Good music is going to support us in our explorations
