This week, you chose the music.
A collection of very personal choices, reflecting our different tastes, stories and colours, woven together into one musical landscape.
This class is a celebration of music.
As each track begins, one simple question:
How does my body respond?
Where does this music touch me?
What part of my body comes alive?
And if I don’t like a piece of music… what will my dance be?
How does my body express resistance?
Can appreciation dance?
Can resistance dance?
Every piece of music invites a different conversation with our bodies.
Whether we love a piece of music or not, each one is the fruit of someone’s imagination, inspiration, dedication and work. Behind every melody is a human being who created something and offered it to the world.
Perhaps we don’t often stop to think about that.
This Saturday, let’s celebrate music, those who create it, and the many different ways our bodies respond to it.
Come and join us on a common floor and in a common dance!
Good music is going to support us in our explorations.
