MOVING IN UNCERTAIN TIMES 5
All of us go through periods that seem particularly arduous, painful, stressful. Sometimes we have the impression that life is too demanding, that we can’t see the forest for the trees, that we are losing our ground and centre.
Sometimes values and people that we could rely on seem far away, references that we could trust in seem like vanished. What was true yesterday isn’t true today anymore. We lose confidence, courage. A future that we were trusting in becomes uncertain and threatening…
In these phases, the practice of conscious movement reveals itself as being a powerful resource.
Moving in Uncertain Times is a sequence of 6 Open Floor classes.
We will use the resources that our practice has to offer us, resources that we have been exploring during the last months.
Let’s dedicate our dances to the Ukrainian people!
This Saturday I invite you to dedicate your dances to all those who have to fight for or in the Ukraine, who have to leave the country, leave the people they love, leave their houses, leave their roots, not knowing if and when they will find home again.
Giving movement to the emotions that are rising in our hearts permits us to embody our feelings. They become more true, more powerful, more subtle and they get a shape!
And this is essential: when our emotions have a shape, they might influence our further actions. Dancing strengthens our position and helps us to know what we might stand up for and what we actively might want to DO or NOT want to DO !
Good music is going to support us !!
