MOVING IN UNCERTAIN TIMES 2

All of us go through periods that seem particularly arduous, painful, stressful. Sometimes we have the impression that life is too demanding, that we can’t see the forest for the trees, that we are losing our ground and centre.
Sometimes values and people that we could rely on seem far away, references that we could trust in seem like vanished. What was true yesterday isn’t true today anymore. We lose confidence, courage. A future that we were trusting in becomes uncertain and threatening…

In these phases, the practice of conscious movement reveals itself as being a powerful resource.

Moving in Uncertain Times is a sequence of 6 Open Floor classes.

We will use the resources that our practice has to offer us, resources that we have been exploring during the last months.
We started with Breath, and we will continue with…

Towards and away

“Right relationship is knowing that we are interconnected and finding a form of connection that allows us peace. Sometimes right relationship means reentering each other’s dance. Sometimes it means staying apart.”
                                                                                                 Valarie Kaur, See no stranger

In uncertain times, we tend to retire in our cocoons and we are more or less afraid to go towards, to meet in unknown places, to face and to get into contact with others. Isolation is often the result. Sometimes it’s a deliberate isolation, sometimes it’s an imposed and painful one. That’s the case in a pandemic like we have to go through now, but not only.

What if we adjusted our way of encounter?
What if we found new ways of welcoming, sharing and contacting ?
What if we befriended with our boundaries and respect them softly, kindly, lovingly…
What if respecting our boundaries is not excluding but including ?
What if having boundaries means freedom to move safely together ?
And what if we found ways of welcoming us with our boundaries ?

That’s what we are going to explore this Saturday

Good music is going to support us !
