This Saturday, we continue the Bare Bones series — a practice of returning to physical embodiment, to bones, breath, weight, and sensation as the ground of our experience.

Our attention will turn toward the spine, and more particularly the tailbone — a small and often overlooked place at the very end of the spine. A place that often remains in the background, unless we take the time to feel.

There is a long memory living in the body. Not something we think about or recall consciously, but something that can be sensed when we listen physically — through bones, posture, and the way movement begins. What no longer exists on the outside sometimes remains as a trace inside, reshaped and condensed into structure.

In this class, we will approach the tailbone through physical embodiment: sensing, breath, imagination, and movement. Imagining a tail is not a way of leaving the body or escaping into fantasy — it is a way of listening more closely to what is already here, in the present moment.

As always, we will create space to dance, to pause, and to let movement settle.

  1. This looks like a very warm and community-oriented event. I really appreciate how the Waldorf School continues to create spaces that encourage creativity, connection, and shared experiences among students, parents, and the wider community.

What stands out to me most is the emphasis on participation and togetherness—it seems like the event is not just about activities, but about building meaningful interactions and a sense of belonging. That kind of environment is especially valuable in education.

Thank you for sharing this event. It’s inspiring to see how schools keep fostering engagement and creativity through gatherings like this.
