In her Atlas of the Heart, Brené Brown takes us to the “Places we go when things are uncertain or too much”: Stress, Overwhelm, Fear, Anxiety, Vulnerability, might be the place in our heart where I, you, we go.

We don’t like to go to these places and even don’t want to name them, or we don’t recognize them. Avoiding them, numbing them is not a solution. It disembodies us from our own inner world and disconnects us from other people.

Understand, name, embody, respect and even befriend them IS a solution.

And our bodies are the first to give feedback from our heart.
Letting them speak and over all, listen to them, is the first step to befriend emotions like insecurity, uncertainty, fear. And then having a conversation with these emotions.

Brené Brown writes: “we need to pull up a chair and sit with them, understand them”.
And that’s where our dance comes in:

I suggest that we invite our insecurity, stress, fear … for a dance this Saturday!

AND: THE CENTER WLL HOLD…
if, and only if, we can feel the edges!

Once we are centered, we can dare to be in relationship with our own insecurity.
Remember what we danced last Saturday:
Center is a conversation, it’s constantly moving. We get off center, we get in again, we get off, we get in!
That’s the conversation Brené Brown invites us to, on the chair: having a conversation and feeling the edges!
