And The Little Prince continues to inspire us. Every encounter changes us — even the quiet ones. Sometimes we move closer; sometimes we move away. Yet something always happens in between: a small vibration of connection that continues long after the moment itself.

In dance, this becomes visible. Every gesture, every step towards or away, carries a story of attention. Through movement we explore how closeness and distance, approach and retreat, shape the space between us — and how that space, too, is alive.

This class is an invitation to listen to that subtle field, the time it takes to really meet. To give our presence without hurry, to see and to be seen, to stay just long enough for something to form, and then to notice how that moment shapes the movement that follows — the stepping back, the space after.

Because the end of a dance of contact is not an end at all. It takes time to understand how someone or something has touched us. Like a faint light that lingers after the sun has set, the trace of what we’ve met remains, quietly shaping who we become.

As Rilke reminds us, We must allow every impression and every seed of feeling the time, the space, and the patience to grow within us.

That is what the fox meant — that it takes time, real time, for what has touched us to reveal its meaning.

Traces – Between Towards and Away

Every meeting leaves a mark.
Some tender, some raw,
some still glowing quietly under the skin.

We go towards,
we go away —
but neither direction erases the other.

The body remembers
what the heart sometimes tries to forget:
the warmth of a gaze,
the silence after a word,
the moment when something inside shifted —
just a little — and we became different.

It is the time we gave that shapes us,
the moments we stayed,
and also the moments we could not.

Each step towards opens a door.
Each step away leaves a light behind.
And so we carry them —
all our encounters —
not as stories to retell,
but as quiet constellations within the body,
guiding us,
whispering who we are becoming…
