Grounding: body, heart, mind and soul

By mid-December, most of us are busier than we’d like to be. Whether at work or in our private lives, the pre-Christmas pace picks up, with many things needing to be wrapped up before the end of the year.

While in nature, animals and plants have already been preparing for hibernation for a long time, human beings are moving against the flow of what would be “natural”.
Far be it from me to pass judgement on this activism, I’m right in the middle of it.

What can help us in these moments of great activity is to take the time, in the midst of the tumult, to put down roots, to entrust ourselves to the earth, to feel that it is carrying us, to feel the force of gravity that unites us to the earth even if we spin around and seem to lose our anchoring

Taking a break to reconnect with the earth, taking a break to breathe, taking the time to replant ourselves, giving ourselves a respite from our frantic race against the clock.
That’s what it’s all about: Grounding body, heart mind and soul.

This might help us to be less unbalanced, less insecure, less overwhelmed, less flighty and unfocused in times when we need more focus than ever.
