Pure Practice in Open Floor invites us into a unique, lightly facilitated space where we follow our own inner guidance. Without someone directing or suggesting what we might need, we’re encouraged to tune in and discover what’s essential for us in each moment.

In Pure Practice, we cultivate self-reliance and listen carefully to what our bodies, hearts, minds or souls are truly asking for. Whether it’s Ground, Release, Vector, Spatial Awareness, or Expand & Contract, this structure allows us to let movement arise naturally from within. It becomes a space for integrating our experiences, for exploring what we’ve touched deeply, and for honoring the discoveries we make together.

Let’s enjoy the freedom to move, to connect, and to trust our own intuition as it guides us through the dance.

Some poetry to inspire you?

Today
by Mary Oliver

Today I’m flying low and I’m
not saying a word.
I’m letting all the voodoos of ambition sleep.

The world goes on as it must,
the bees in the garden rumbling a little,
the fish leaping, the gnats getting eaten.
And so forth.

But I’m taking the day off.
Quiet as a feather.
I hardly move though really I’m traveling
a terrific distance.

Stillness. One of the doors
into the temple.

The Real Work
by Wendell Berry

It may be that when we no longer know what to do
we have come to our real work,
and that when we no longer know which way to go
we have begun our real journey.
The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings.
